Final fight in Div 3 Comments (0) Wowbagger 17-04-2008 20:36

The very last fight in Div 3 at SAAW was not so much of a nail biter that we had wished it to be, even though we are satisfied with the end result. Invertigo gaming is clearly a better clan and should absolutely be in a higher division (all matched won and a roundcount of 100 above all other clans in the division).

First map was Vacant were we had a tough start as defenders. We didn't get so much rounds but then as attackers we managed to win some rounds. Vacant ended as a loss, 6-14, with some dirty unorthodox situations.

Second map, Strike, did actually start of good with 2 or 3 rounds in our advantage but then it slowed down as attackers. As defenders we lost some of our focus when the match was already a loss. The map ended 5-15.

To sum it up it was a enjoyable match with some unconventional situations. Invertigo was a fun opponent and a worthy team of the win. Match ended 11-29. For a full match report, check it out in the matches section.

4th round around in Div 3 Comments (0) Wowbagger 10-04-2008 20:27

Phew that was worldchampionships in nerve
We had FutureGaming (www.futuregaming.org) visiting our server, which
was freshly rebooted for the evening. As a warmpup on district we had a
well disco, flashing it up a bit and mc klillas had his smattergun makeing
nice beats shooting into the walls

mp_citystreets aka district was first up, we lost the knife, [FG] took bandana team.
Defending is always a bit easier and we managed hold [FG] a couple of rounds ending
the marine side 5-5. The nerve started to build slowly as we attacked, we got 2 more
rounds as opfor and ended the map with the total score 11-9.

Crashed helicopters and bombed out buildings, its hot, damn hot
its sweat sweat, junk , cars, barrels, snipers, opponents, nades here and smoke there.
Yes its Crash!
Lost knife again and we decided that the penalty will be sanddragging our knives, without
sunblock on Crash for the rest of the week
Anyways...we ended up attacking first, personally that went horrible and [FG] won attack
6-4. Onto defense, we started out pretty good and held [FG] back, but we took turns on
the rounds which wasnt enough, [FG] took home Crash with 11-9 as ending score.

Final match score was a draw 20-20.

GG and WP FutureGaming, was very nice to play vs u guys

The third time's lucky in SAAW Comments (0) Wowbagger 03-04-2008 20:33

even tho we succeeded on the two first rounds , anyway
we faced El NiƱo in the third round of the SAAW league.

Crossfire was first up, we started out attacking as away team.
Got a steady lead and then EN came back to even up the half a bit.
On defense we got a few stopnades face up initially but managed to get
past and secure ground, denying a few plants and ending the map with
a total score of 12-8 in our favor.

With the sun in the face we went on Backlot attack, literaly, as
we made an initial A rush that got pushed back easily. Thinking
first and acting later gave us a couple of nice rounds and we had
a solid lead as we shifted onto defense. The marine side of Backlot
was a bit weird at first as EN took their time to plot and plan but
we got rolling and took turns taking rounds ending the map with
14-6 as total score.

GG and WP EN.

On a personal Klillas note:
'I found out that paper can > nades'
Dont try that at home

Round 2 in SAAW Comments (0) Wowbagger 27-03-2008 21:11

Round 2 for us in the SAAW league featured Vacant/Strike vs
Swedish Frontline (www.swedishfrontline.blogg.se).
We hosted server and it seemed ok for everyone except Meekey who
get a random disconnect even if the server is on his own lan .

As home team we started defending as SAS, where we managed
to hold off SfL decently. Switching to attack with a lead 7-3
we won a couple of more rounds winning the map with 13-7.

Moving on to Strike we started as brits, attacking for queen and
country. Attack half ended 6-4 in our favour.
SfL went on attack and had a keen attack going and tied us at 6-6 and we
took turns winning rounds. With a bit luck and good spirit we
ended the map 11-9, very close imho, 1on1 situation in last round
with them in the A plant zone and Thozi rushing in doing his thing .

Anyways gg SfL.

I'm gonna go and sort out my headache now /Matruder

First SAAW game vs JDG won Comments (0) Wowbagger 16-03-2008 20:46

Tnite the CoD4 team played their first SAAW league
game vs Judge Team (http://www.jdg.nu).

We started playing on Backlot, JDG dropped in on time (19:55 ish CET)
and we decided to play a knife round just for kicks.

JDG won the knife round and choosed da brits! Due to overly sharpened
knives an FCE2 player managed to slice and dice a friendly during
the knife round, it was pretty funny to watch .

After a 'so so' attack half we shaped up and managed
to pull a series of rounds on defense , winning the map
11-9.

Next up Crash, JDG started as marooiiines and we defended
as bandana team (OpFor). Defense went pretty well and we
had a lead goin into attack. JDG halted us and we slowed down
to a grind loosing the first couple of rounds, but we came
back and pushed JDG back winning the map 16-4.

See the matches section for Duff's in depth analysis of the
match .

We hosted server on mchack.net. One player from JDG had higher ping
than the rest but other than that I think everyone felt it was ok.

Roundscores is posted on the SAAW site:
http://www.saaw.nu/index.php?s=match&id=1245

GG and WP JDG a pleasure playing you guys.
